About the materials

We keep researching various materials and creating prototypes every day to produce works. You can appreciate the items for a longer time if you know the characteristics of each material.

Let us introduce unique materials used in EMISSION.

#1 Prism Optical Resin

t is a special polycarbonate resin that produces the color and brilliance of a light and transparent prism. Its exceptionally filmy and light material is suitable for manufacturing voluminous chandeliers, lighting, delicate modeling, and comfortable jewelry that is challenging to produce with glass or acrylic.

Although this material is rarely used in designed products because it is expensive and difficult to process, we carefully use it in works with our know-how and patented technology. *

A unique groove in the prism structure generates prism-colored light by refracting the sunlight transmitted through it. Also, the weather resistance of polycarbonate is so high that it does not discolor the material.

Please note that it may be deformed or scratched by high pressure and friction because it is a delicate material.

Patent No. 6970999" Manufacturing Method of Decorative Objects and Decorative Objects”

#2 Quartz Glass

It is a unique and rare glass manufactured in Japan out of quartz (silicon dioxide, SiO2). The attraction of this material is its high-purity transparency like spring water and its delicate and refined brilliance. It is more transparent than general high-transparency and optical glass, and it does not contain any lead, unlike crystal glass.

Also, intrusive color and turbidity are undetectable, and any transmitted images cannot be refracted to be seen, even in a thick piece. It is free of air bubbles because it is essential in semiconductors and optical products.

This glass material is difficult to obtain and is exceptionally hard to grind. However, we create a unique texture by carefully gaining, selecting, and grinding raw materials of quartz glass one at a time in EMISSION, collaborating with a quartz glass factory.

*Although it is a solid material, it may crack due to a strong impact, such as a drop, so please handle it with care to appreciate the works.

[Used Materials and Precautions]

Prism Optical Resin

Prism optical resin is a sensitive material. It may be deformed or scratched by high pressure and friction. Please avoid causing too much impact.
When cleaning, wipe gently with a soft cloth.
Chemicals or oil (including cosmetics) may cause damage. When exposed, wipe it off with a soft cloth.
Use and storage under the following conditions may also cause damage, cracks, or deformation.
(Abrupt changes in temperature, high temperatures, low temperatures, exposure to fire, water, high humidity, etc.)

Quartz glass

Although it is one of the most solid materials in glass, please handle it with care to avoid colliding with other glass or solid objects.
Please do not use the product as it may cause injuries when it cracks or chips.
When cleaning, wipe gently with a soft cloth.

Zirconia It is an artificial stone made in France by DARROZ.
It has the same resistance, hardness, and composition as natural stone and has earned continuous trust in fields such as watchmaking.
When used under a strong impact or abrupt temperature change, it may come off from the setting.
Silver We use SILVER 925 for the metal fittings of some products.
SILVER 925 is 92.5% silver with 7.5% other metals added to increase the strength.
It may get darker over time.
After use, wipe off the dirt with a jewelry cleaner to maintain its luster and cleanliness for a longer time.
Brass We use brass (an alloy made of copper and zinc) for some products.
It has a unique golden color because it contains more than 20% zinc.
The color gradually becomes dull over time.
You can appreciate the change of color. However, it returns to its original color if you polish it with a brass cream.
